A new tumour was found on Rob Ford's bladder in October. After suffering from abdominal pain, Ford checked into the Mount Sinai Hospital where his medical team found the tumour.
"At this time, we are still awaiting testing results to determine if it is related to the previous growths, as well as whether it is malignant," said a statement from Ford's office.
Ford was diagnosed with a malignant liposarcoma in Sept. 2014. The liposarcoma arises in soft tissue structures and makes up about one per cent of cancers. After rounds chemotherapy the liposarcoma shrunk enough to be removed surgically in May 2015.
